Mother's Day Preparation

Dear Spa Professionals,

it is time to get ready for Mother's Day! A perfect occasion to create a special facial treatment, special Spa and home care packages customized just for MOM. Especially after this turbulent 2020 with home schooling the kids and having less "me"-time, Mother's deserve SPA time even more.

The big question is: Do you know already what you want to offer? How and where are you going to promote it?

It can be tough to come up with ideas and finding the time to get everything together for it. Therefore, we recommend to start with preparations for special occasion treatments at least 2 months prior to the occasion. In general, you want to have enough time to order the products you need, to get social media posts and content ready and to get flyers or other material printed to give to your clients to remind them to get the Mother's Day gift for their Mom from you or to have the Mom give it to her family.



Your promotion should represent you 360°!


There are certain times when it is best to post on instagram and facebook to reach as many views as possible. There are various analyses in the web but general rule of thumb is to post any time from 8am - 11am and 7pm - 10pm. If you do not find the time to post in those times, you can schedule your posts ahead of time. A good scheduling service to use is www.buffer.com as an example. They do have paid services but their free service plan is totally enough for a privately owned Spa.


Social Media is of great importance. However, a more personal approach to promote yourself and your services are very successful as well. The best way to do it is to go out and meet your business neighbors. Start collaborations with other small businesses to support each other. Mother's Day is a great occasion to start a collaboration. What else do Moms get on their day? Flowers! Go meet a privately owned florist close to you. Ask him if we would attach a coupon from you to a Bouquet of a specific amount and if he has coupons or anything else that you would attach to a Gift Certificate of a specific amount. It is a good way to get to know each other and hey, maybe the florist will come to you and you will get floral decoration for your Spa from him or her!
